Petit Castel

Refined, structured and deeply rooted in place, Petit Castel is the second wine of the renowned Domaine du Castel, crafted in a classic Bordeaux style from a meticulous blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. The grapes are sourced exclusively from the estate’s finest vineyard plots in the Judean Hills.

Following careful vinification, the wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, then further matured in concrete tanks for four months, adding polish, balance and definition before bottling. The result is a wine of real depth and elegance.

On the nose, expect crushed dark berries, wild roses and subtle leather notes. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with smooth tannins and a lively streak of acidity that brings freshness and promises graceful ageing over the next five years. Ripe fruit flavours are beautifully balanced by a firm, food-friendly structure.
Goes well with red meat dishes, including fine steak, beef stew, and game, where its structure and depth truly shine.
