Flam Classico Red
A benchmark Israeli boutique wine, Flam Winery Classico reflects both deep respect for tradition and a clear, modern vision. Founded in 1998 by Golan, Gilad and Kami Flam, the Flam estate has become one of Israel’s most exciting wineries, producing kosher wines of precision and character from the Judean Hills, near Jerusalem.
The Classico red blend has been crafted for nearly two decades and remains a cornerstone of the winery. It is a complex, multi-layered blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Petit Verdot, sourced from the Mata vineyard, located approximately 650 metres above sea level. Warm, sun-filled days are balanced by cooling mountain breezes and cold nights, preserving freshness while allowing the grapes to reach full, even ripeness.
In the cellar, the wine is aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, followed by six months of bottle ageing, adding depth, structure and polish. Aromas of dark berries are layered with notes of chocolate, roasted coffee beans and sweet spice. The palate is full-bodied and generous, with firm tannins and an impressively long, lingering finish.
