The Ministry of Clouds McLaren Vale Shiraz displays aromas of blueberry and red plum, along with layers of allspice and cardamom. The palate shows a deep fruit weight and a subtle oak creaminess, filed down nicely by fine and savoury tannin line.
Hand picked from a 72 year old dry grown Blewitt Springs vineyard and a younger Clarendon vineyard. 35% of the bunches were whole bunch pressed with the the remainder lightly destemmed to retain whole berries before a 4 day cold soak. Indigenous fermentation with hand plunging throughout the vinification. The wine was aged in 3 year old hogsheads and a large oak tank for 12 months..
